no more discovering at KinderCare

Last Thursday was Jarrett's last day at KinderCare. I guess their budget is not doing so well either. The company decided to consolidate this center into their others and that ended Jarrett's year and a half run at KinderCare. We loved the facility as they had caring people taking care of Jarrett and they were flexible when we needed it and the facility was at a great location. Now that era has come to an end and Jarrett will be moving on. Thank you KinderCare for being Jarrett's first daycare facility.

jarrett and the beanstalk, part II

So, this week in preschool they are reading Dr. Seuss books and I think great, it's a good week to read those to Jarrett as a bedtime story. As I'm searching for the Dr. Seuss books I find "Mickey and the beanstalk" you should have seen the smile on Jarrett's face, he was so excited to have the book in hand. I had already planned to buy it for him from Amazon but I could never find enough items to qualify for free shipping so I hadn't done it yet but my find yesterday night made Jarrett the happiest little boy as he drifted to sleep (you can see the book tucked in his arm even asleep).

So, Jarrett's been reading Jack and the Beanstalk and absolutely loves it.  Actually he loves it a bit too much.  We went to the zoo on Sunday for a birthday party where they had a lot of trees and all Jarrett wanted to do was to climb up the tree like Jack.  It took me a while before I got why he was so interested in climbing up the tree but it was so funny once I realized what he was trying to do.  You know how they see be careful of what your kids see on tv so they don't try recreating it at home, well now I have to be worried about what he reads because even those he's trying to recreate. 

can I crash the plane?

Jarrett's favorite video game is a Wii game where he's supposed to be flying a plane over an island. Unfortunately, he thinks the point of the game is to see how many times he can crash the plane. He loves when the plane crashes. He gets such a kick out of it. Should I be worried? Lol!

magic potions

Jarrett's latest thing is making magic potions. 1 c milk, any lotions he can find, bath salts, baby powder, juice, anything he can find goes in the magic potion. Because of this I'm ashy because Jarrett keeps using up all our lotions. Need to take a pic as the cup is a globby mess. 3 year olds are so creative!
