the real world
Yesterday was Jarrett's 11 month birthday and although this may sound trite, I truly cannot believe how time flies. We are all saying it was only yesterday that Jarrett was born. Jarrett celebrated his 11 month birthday by going to his Gymboree class in the morning and then Javier's at night for dinner with very good friends. He also let me know just how strong and active he was when I stepped out of a room and closed the door behind me with the door slightly left ajar. Before I knew it Jarrett was gone, he opened the door and was making his way into another room. Who knew a little boy could move so fast? Jarrett's latest accomplishments include actually saying mama, saying dada and actually meaning it to call his dad, saying daddy, saying bye bye and waving at the same time, he can make the sound hi, and standing all by himself for approximately 10-15 seconds at a time. I have a short video of him doing it, it's sorta funny :) He's also very good at taking things from where they belong and putting it somewhere else, he loves feeding himself with a fork - he's actually pretty good at it, and he's making sounds where it actually sounds like he can talk. This is going to be a new and interesting week for us as Jarrett will be with a babysitter (full time) sort of. Jarrett will be entering the real world as both of his parents will now be working. It's sorta scary but the Lord has provided and has done amazing things and I'm sure he will continue on.
